MEET THE COUNSELORS

JOYCE MILES JACQUOTE
LMFT SUPERVISOR, LCDC
I'm Joyce Miles Jacquote, LMFT-S, LCDC, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and I founded Overcoming Miles Counseling, PLLC as a space dedicated to healing, connection, and meaningful change. Through my group practice, I provide telehealth therapy across Colorado, Texas, Utah, and Washington. My practice specializes in working with romantic partners, queerplatonic partners, and families- however they define themselves. My work is grounded in inclusive, identity-affirming care, where each client's identity, relationship structure, and lived experience are honored and centered in the therapeutic process. I am especially passionate about supporting Black and Brown communities and Queer communities. I integrate both my clinical expertise and lived experience to create therapeutic spaces that are culturally responsive, empowering, and deeply healing. My goal is to help clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate relationships, identity, and personal growth.

DESIREE ROBLOT
LMFT ASSOCIATE
Life can be hard. Many of us are taught to push through the obstacles of life without taking the time to examine how those experiences affect us and how to truly heal from them. With time, we begin to feel the effects of "pushing through it", physically, emotionally, and mentally. Often times we try to manage these feelings on our own, but what happens when we can't? My goal as a therapist is to create a space where my clients feel safe, cared for, and where they can be their authentic selves. Safe spaces are not always available, especially to people in marginalized groups, so it is imperative that I create an environment where my clients can safely explore their feelings. My clinical practice is grounded in the belief that people know themselves better than anyone else and hold the inner wisdom needed to create the life they want. Therefore, I am not here to give advice or tell you what to do. I am simply here to act as a guide that provides you with the necessary tools and skills to navigate your way through life. Through an integrative approach, I help you better understand how your thinking and decision making affects you and the people around you. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method are my go-to modalities. These therapeutic styles will help you better understand the root of the issues in your relationships and how to navigate them in a healthy, effective way. My specialties include working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ couples and families. I find it an honor to work with any client that wants to work with me. Together, we will collaborate to help you find the peace and harmony you desire in your relationships.

ANDREA TAYLOR
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY GRADUATE INTERN
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I want to provide a space where one can feel heard, safe, and cared for. My desire is to ensure that people can fully express themselves for who they are. I seek to understand the person's true self, the one who may not be able to express themselves in certain settings or at all. My passion is to ensure that the person stays at the center, and that we're working together to find solutions to the issues they may face. I seek to help the person evolve into who they want to be. I want to serve as a guide and cheerleader. I am accepting and affirming of anyone, seeking to understand the entirety of the person. This process may not be the easiest and can get ugly, but going along this journey with support, care, and empathy can help one receive peace, clarity, understanding, and acceptance. I desire to help the person reach this goal, developing healthy, safe, practical tools, and evolving in a safe, compassionate space.
