Founder, Tazora Moore speaks with Tashara Parker addressing the growing epidemic of suicide that impacts many communities

(Dallas, TX - March 29, 2023) Founder of the Hear My Cry Foundation, Tazora Moore shares her passion for mental health through serving as an advocate and educator in an exclusive interview with WFAA’s Tashara Parker. Her passion that stemmed from losing her husband Daryl Moore, to suicide in 2012 resulted in the launch of the Hear My Cry Foundation with a goal to share the importance of understanding mental health.

While continuing to support her family mentally and emotionally after losing her husband she sought mental health resources including therapy. While discovering the countless resources available to her and her young children, she discovered the several stigmas centered around therapy and counseling, specifically in underrepresented communities.

“It was very devastating, unexpected, and surprising to everyone, especially since Darryl was someone I lived with daily. I immediately realized that so many people suffer in silence," says Tazora Moore.

While raising awareness to mental health and suicide awareness, Tazora hopes to continue to inform and educate leaders, families, and youth on preventative measures and signs to prevent suicide while embracing therapy.

“I want my organization to continue to be a name that people can remember,” she expresses.
